A discovery on Amazon Prime. Delightfully decadent French humor by Quentin Dupieux ("Mr. Oizo").
Two guys who seem not to care about anything, and they do so with full energy. And then, well, maybe they do care a little. While stealing a car, they find a giant fly and decide to train it. Around them: quirky characters all the way through, yet the film stays far from slapstick. It's skillfully done.
French cinema that irreverently targets everything that doesn’t fly away in a millisecond. Especially human (?!) nature.
Because clearly, the fly is the protagonist here. All of this in just 75 minutes. Worth watching!
